Episode 83: Racing Recaps, Taper Talk & Broadcast Woes
In this episode of Another Triathlon Podcast, hosts @jennacaer and @joshmvernon dive into the latest from the triathlon world—from taper updates and racing recaps to the buzz (and chaos) surrounding recent pro events.
They kick things off with personal training updates as Josh heads into taper week headed to Ironman Oceanside 70.3 and Jenna-Caer does a big brick 3 weeks out from Ironman Taiwan. They then break down the T1 race in Lievin, an electric short-course showdown full of excitement and fierce competition. The conversation turns to Ironman 70.3 Geelong, where technical broadcast issues didn’t stop a race featuring strong performances.
Looking ahead, Jenna and Josh preview Ironman South Africa, making bold predictions for both the men’s and women’s pro fields—including contenders like Magnus Ditlev and Anne Reischmann.
They also highlight key social media moments, discuss the growing influence of short-course athletes in long-course racing, and the increasing role of community support and strategy in the Ironman Pro Series.
